The University of Gothenburg in Sweden, conducted a study that found women spend 81 minutes a day on this network, while men spend 64 minutes a day.
An average user in this network accesses 6.1 times every 24 hours. For 85% of respondents compared to how they use the social network, access to Facebook is part of your daily routine and a habit is defined as "almost unconscious" and in some cases even "addictive," they said Leif Denti researcher who directs the study. In fact 70% of users entering the social network almost systematically every time you open your web browser.
Chávez, above 2.5 million followers on Twitter

Caracas.- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez overcame this weekend with his username @chavezcandanga 2.5 million followers on the social networking site Twitter, although the President said he plans to change the name because it displeases him.
After concluding a meeting with Defense Minister of Peru, Luis Otárola, Chavez told reporters that he will change his account @chavezcandanga, which was activated on April 27, 2010, and said that some days he does not write anything because they hadn´t time.
Cuba and Venezuela are working on educational portal for ALBA

Cuba and Venezuela share content and specialists in the creation of an educational portal for member countries of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of Our Americas (ALBA), said an official source.
The national director of Computer Education, Ministry of Education of Cuba, Ivan Barreto, told reporters that the website will include programs of study, methodological guides and suggestions for teachers, students and families.
Apple released its iTunes Match service in Costa Rica

The service was already active in Brazil since mid-December, when they got the iTunes Store, and in the United States since October.
Match iTunes makes the user's own music available anywhere. For $24.99, Match analyzes the iTunes library the user has and puts a replica in iCloud. So it can be accessed from any computer, iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) and Apple TV.

Nielsen released a report this week on how people devour their entertainment across television, online, mobile and social conduits.
Among the figures from Nielsen's U.S. media universe: Nearly one in three TV households – 35.9 million – owns four or more televisions, and TV still rules as the most popular entertainment device, with 290 million Americans and 114.7 households owning at least one.

Almost no one doubts that the entry into the stock market in 2012 of Facebook which is one of the financial events of 2012.
The company set up in a room of students reaches the summit of world technology.
This is also one of the largest entries into the stock market of all time, placed in sixth place in the U.S., behind names like Visa and General Motors, and the fifteenth in the world, according to Renaissance Capital research society specializing in stock market entries.

Tablets recorded about 40% of mobile traffic in Brazil and Colombia
Brazil and Colombia were the countries that reported the highest share of mobile traffic from tablets in Latin America.
The boom that the tablets have had in 2011 has been significant. According to the consultancy ABI Research, in the second quarter 13.6 million tablets were sold, surpassing the sales of netbooks, which only reached 7.3 million units sold worldwide.

Over 900 million mobile subscribers will soon be direct beneficiaries of stringent new government norms to control harmful radiation from mobile handsets, a tacit admission that the present radiation levels are injurious to health.
The government wants to enforce education of consumers about the benefits of the hands-free option and choosing SMS over voice calls or keeping mobile calls as brief as possible, with special health warnings for children, adolescents, pregnant women, and those with any kind of medical implants.

Metro de Santiago on Monday announced the launch of the 21 areas with Wi-Fi Internet access throughout its network of stations, which will be enabled in its entirety from March next year.
These "Hot Spots" will benefit more than 2 million daily users of the Metro and who can access this service from any of the 21areas distributed in as many seasons in the 5 lines of service.

The Apple Online Store, the iTunes Store, debuted Tuesday in Latin America and is available in 16 new markets.
The countries selected for this expansion are Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
New ID for foreigners in Costa Rica

Costa Rica will implement a new ID for foreigners that will allow greater control over their bank accounts, prevent fraud and give money laundering control.
Security Minister Mario Zamora, told reporters that this electronic system, called DIMEX, not only protects the individual but increases foreign control over illegal activities in bank accounts.

The arrival of Apple with its iTunes Music Store in Latin America is getting closer and may be next on December 8, when Apple will officially launch its music and book store online in most of these countries.
Although initially it was thought that December 8 was the day chosen by Apple to launch its iTunes Music Store in Brazil, The Next Web portal has reported that the advent of the online music store from Apple could be extended to all Latin American countries.

Program starts in Tijuana against child pornography

The DIF Tijuana, launched the "School Protected Against Child Pornography" program to prevent children and young people from being exposed to pornography in municipal public schools.
The Municipal DIF President, Carolina Garcia Bustamante, said that with the implementation of this program they will install the software "Saint 2.0" on all computers on school campuses of the Municipal Education System (EMS), so that learners can have a safe navigation on the Internet.
“Anonymous” attacks child pornography ring

Last week, the hacker group Anonymous, known for targeting large corporations and oppressive government regimes, used a brute force attack to infiltrate a server called Freedom Hosting, which housed about 40 child porn sites. The biggest site was Lolita City, which contained more than 100GB of content.
According to a timeline of events posted on Pastebin, Anonymous said before taking down the sites, it issued a warning to Freedom Hosting to remove the illegal content. When it failed to do so, Anonymous attacked. The sites were down for about five minutes before an admin restored them, upon which Anonymous again launched a successful attack. Later, the group posted on Pastebin the names of 1,589 individuals who visited Lolita City.
Blackberry problems hit Latin America

BlackBerry's maker says smartphone users in Latin America and India also are experiencing problems with messaging and browsing services.
Research in Motion Ltd. said Tuesday users in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, India, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina are affected.
