Toluca .- The Governor of the State of Mexico, Eruviel Avila Villegas, will submit a proposal to the Mexican Congress to create the Law on Science, Technology and Innovation.

The State Executive noted that this law would have four lines of action: training of talent, creation and strengthening of infrastructure, knowledge generation and support to the entrepreneurial capacity.

He added that the code would be accompanied by a 25-year strategic plan for scientific and technological development of state policy in the long term financial resources to ensure their effectiveness.

Villegas Avila said his government already has ten concrete actions in science, technology and innovation, such as scholarships at all educational levels and this year 174,000 scholarships will be awarded in an investment of 513 million pesos, representing an increase 100 percent compared to last year, this year will also have scholarships for study abroad.

The governor announced that they will create 125 digital libraries in order to reduce the digital divide and move towards the knowledge society opens the Digital University of the State of Mexico that will be for distance education system, the first headquarters will be in Ixtapan de la Sal and will invest in multimedia packages to equip computer labs.

He added that with an investment of 150 million pesos is under construction Center Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics in Cuautitlan, they will also start building the Center for Applied Mathematics and High Performance Computing Ocoyoacac, which will feature the largest supercomputer the country, plus the Center for Plastics Engineering and Technology in Lerma wil be opened.
