Cuba to build a hundred modern biogas plants

Cuba will build 100 cutting-edge tubular biogas plants out of PVC in an effort to reduce the negative environmental impact generated by pig manure. The plants will generate fuel to meet the energy needs of rural areas, thus preventing pathogenic microorganisms contained in animal waste from contaminating the subsoil and the aquifer.
Roberto Sosa, director of the Biogas Promotion and Development Center of the Pig Research Institute told the press that one of the plants will have the capacity to process the waste of up to 150 pigs and to supply gas to the producer’s house and his neighbors.

Anonymous gain access to FBI and Scotland Yard hacking call

Hacking network Anonymous has released a recording of a conference call between the FBI and UK police in which they discuss efforts against hacking.
The call, said to have taken place last month, covers the tracking of Anonymous and similar groups, dates of planned arrests and details of evidence held.

Megaupload has two weeks of grace to fix the situation of the data from 50 million users, or it will be destroyed.
Megaupload was a bookstore where people stored, shared and experienced cultural properties which they themselves also produced: both consumers and producers of music, books and movies. Much of this material does not belong to the users who posted it.

The Web giant announced Tuesday that it plans to follow the activities of users across nearly all of its ubiquitous sites, including YouTube, Gmail and its leading search engine.

Negotiations over a controversial anti-piracy agreement have been described as a masquerade by a key EU official.
Kader Arif, the European Parliament's rapporteur for the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (Acta), resigned over the issue on Friday.

The European Commission (EC) presented on Wednesday a proposal to tighten the protection of personal data on the Internet that if approved would cause several drawbacks to social networking sites like Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook.
The personal data protection is a fundamental right for all Europeans, but people do not always feel in control of their personal data, said the European Commissioner responsible for Justice and Fundamental Rights, Viviane Reding with her proposal.
Wind energy a reality in Nicaragua

Wind power, geothermal energy and other renewable energy sources progress in Nicaragua because there are already turbines in Suzlon and Vestas.
Part of the blades of the wind turbines arrived in Puerto Corinto and will go to Rivas, where the Blue Power wind farm with wind turbines of Vestas is being built.

Following the shutting down of Megaupload, hackers gathered in the group Anonymous are still standing with their campaign against the Stop Online Piracy Act  SOPA and the next step was displayed by uploading the Sony web discography, putting a list in alphabetical order of links, through programs or P2P file sharing, so that users can download the complete discography of said Japanese company, as well as films released between 2000 and 2011.
