Former world record holder Asafa Powell is predicting a Jamaican clean sweep of the 100 meter medals at London 2012 Olympics.  His prediction comes after wining the 50 meter at the US Open on Saturday

Powell has run the most sub 10-second 100m races in history, with 80 such runs under his belt, while Usain Bolt is the world record holder and Yohan Blake is ranked world number one.

The Arsenal of Argentina advanced to the second phase of the Copa Libertadores-2012 Tuesday with a 1-1 draw with Sport Huancayo in Peru, at a match in the Andean city of Huancayo, due to their 3-0 win in the first leg of last week in Buenos Aires.

The goal of the classification was made by Luciano Leguizamón Arsenal at 86 minutes, while at Huancayo had opened the scoring with Sergio Ibarra at 44 minutes.

Mexican Paola Longoria of racquetball accumulated her fifth title in the professional racquetball circuit WPRO, after winning with American Kerri Wachtel, within the Tournament of Hope World Tour WPRO.

Longoria Lopez won in three sets, partial 11-3, 11-7, 11-7, which extended its lead atop the world rankings on the American and world champion Rhonda Rajsich, who was eliminated in Wachtel semifinals by another American, who won by 11-5, 11-6, 11-4.

Tiger Woods shot a six-under-par 66 Saturday for a share of the lead with the newcomer Robert Rock after the third round at the Abu Dhabi Championship in the United Arab Emirates. Woods, a 14-time major winner, played a consistent round to move to 11 under for the tournament.

Rock, a 34-year-old Englishman who is ranked 117th in the world, birdied his final two holes to earn his first pairing with Woods for Sunday’s final round.
