For the first time a woman takes the PAN ballot

The official announcement was made in the main auditorium of the PAN's national headquarters and after a meeting with the President of the Republic.

Miranda Arroyo and Creel Cordero accompanied the pianist and raised their hands, acknowledging their defeat.

 

In her first speech to the membership, the frontrunner said she was set to win the presidency and become the first woman to head the federal executive.

 

Josefina Vazquez Mota became the PAN candidate for the presidency with 55% of the votes cast, Ernesto Cordero was left with 38.1% and Santiago Creel, with 6.1 percent.

In her first speech as frontrunner, she asked for support from her war fellows, now we begin to defeat authoritarianism. The adversary is Pena Nieto and his party.

According to the National Election Commission, only 23% of active members and supporters participated.

The pattern consists of 1 million 795.933 people. The expectation was at least 720.000 would get involved however; the figures showed that only 412.303 went to the polls.

Antonio Sola, political advisor Vazquez Mota, announced on his Twitter account that already had the victory speech ready.
