Intel revealed the attack in a report presented Monday night against the regulators. This does not necessarily mean that Intel has been infiltrated or the attackers were the same as those of Google.
Intel spokesman Chuck Mulloy said Tuesday that the attack on Intel was not as wide as that hit Google.
He added that Intel has not noticed that some information has been stolen protected by intellectual property laws.
