OpinionThe civic insecurity is the most felt demand by the Guatemalan population. The current President of the Republic, when was in the electoral campaign where left triumphant, offered to fight this whip with intelligence, in a clear comparison to the proposal of the opposing candidate that emblazoned with the hard hand. Now, to almost 26 months of their administration, five Ministers of Government have paraded for the accounts receivable. The instability in this matter is declares and the intelligence is difficult to find.
Meanwhile, public anxiety continues. The perception of the seriousness of the situation has worsened. The easiest thing to this reality is ranting frantically. Moreover, before an early election campaign, which really seems to be a continuation of the last, the issue becomes politicized inappropriately.
But if we are conscious of the risks that we live, which they threaten to carry us to the situation to be a failed State, we should do an analysis less superficial, directed to find the form to do converger efforts to manage to advance in this fight against the delinquency, common and organized, and against the impunity that stimulates it.
