The decision taken by the Department of Economy (Mineco), published Monday in the Daily official of Central America, with respect to the protection of data of some small and medium businesses (pymes), as well as to the miners, Factories and companies of free zones, would be able to influence in a drop in the qualification of the Index of Transparency, specifically as for the perception of the corruption.
According to the executive director of the Foundation for the Development of Guatemala (Fundesa), Juan Carlos Zapata, is important that the Mineco detail the information restricted; otherwise, will leave many doubts that will be translated in a negative perception and would be able to damage in the medium time limit.
